Markus helped us organize our 12 day Christmas Market tour throughout Germany, Strasbourg, and Salzburg.
There were 4 of us and Markus assisted us in planning around the different things we all wanted to see and do. He gave us several options in each city or town to choose our accommodations. Every place we stayed was comfortable, clean and had outstanding breakfast to start the days.
Never enough time on a trip like this but Markus guided us to pack the biggest punch in every location we visited. We ate great meals Thanks to his recommendations and lend a hand in giving us suggestions on trying new and different foods.

Just returned from a fantastic 2 week journey through Germany, and a bit of Austria, with Markus, owner, driver and guide of Viatorius Tours Germany.
There were 6 six of us and I can't imagine seeing and learning about Germany any other way than with with a private tour, (specifically with Markus!) He took us to see many of the highlights of Germany but also many out of the way places that you simply will not have a chance to see if you tour with a huge coach tour packed with 40 people.
The kind of places that make you feel like you're seeing the real Germany, not just ticking boxes on a "If it's Tuesday, it must be Munich" type of tour.
We stayed in wonderful hotels and ate amazing meals in local restaurants. (Don't worry if you think it will be all wurst and wienerschnitzel for every meal...Markus knows where to find the best Asian food and pizza, too!)
Don't trust your vacation to Germany to anyone else (and he also does tours to other European countries.) Markus is friendly and professional. His tour was relaxed and we never felt rushed to get to the next destination.
We visited so many places: Berlin, Potsdam, Dresden, Leipzig, Wiesbaden, Rüdesheim and Rhine Valley, Heidelberg, Würzburg, Speyer, Rothenburg, Füssen, Oberammergau, Berchtesgaden and the Alps, Königssee and Herrenchiemsee, Salzburg, Wals, Munich and Dachau.
If you're going to visit Germany, then you must really see and experience the country with a private small group tour and I highly recommend Markus and Viatorius Tours.

My wife and I recently completed a month long visit to Germany in which we spent 14 days with Markus and Viatorius Tours on an extensive road trip that included the southern and central portions of the country with short excursions into Austria, Switzerland, and France. Everything about our experience with Markus was first rate: from the planning phase in which he offered helpful feedback on our proposed itinerary to the wonderful accommodations in each of the places where we spent the nights. Markus organized an 11 day tour of Germany for our family which included 5 adults. If you want to maximize your travel fun and minimize the hassles of travel, Viatorius Tours is the way to go! No need to play navigator in a foreign country. I have toured Germany and Norway with Viatorius and all hotels were first rate and tours arranged with local guides were excellent. The personal touch allows complete flexibility which is not an option on group tours.

He goes above and beyond what is expected in selecting the right hotels for the client and suggesting points of interest when planning the itinerary. He was also very flexible regarding making slight detours if I wanted to visit an additional point of interest discovered during the journey. We are currently on vacation in Florida, trying to escape an especially brutal winter in New Hampshire, however, my wife and I always have time to sing the praises of Markus and Viatorius Tours. My wife found him on Trip Advisor and thus began our wonderful tour and relationship. We have been used as a contact and reference for Markus numerous times since our trip. We did post a testimonial on his web site that we encourage you to read also. In terms of highly endorsing Markus and Viatorius many times, to date not one previous contact, like you, wrote back or called me to say how wrong I was. Yes we did tour with Markus and had one of the best trips we have ever had. Markus is incredibly knowledgeable about wherever you are. He knows lots of off the beaten track locations and showed us things I don't think other travelers saw. He is flexible and will adjust the tour to accommodate what you want to do. He took us to a local swimming pool/lazy river in one of our locations that was strictly for the locals. We had a blast! We had another trip booked with him to Scotland and Ireland before Covid but sadly had to cancel due to the pandemic. Markus made sure we got all of our money back with no hassle for us at all though I am sure it was huge for him. We have visited him in Germany since our first trip and he has visited us here in NM. He is professional, fun, knowledgeable always found us the best places to eat and sleep that were local. No holiday inns for Markus' tours. We stayed in beautiful places and ate as much great German food as we could is great local restaurants and venues. I believe you will be very happy with Markus and his tour. Re: payment, when I hired Markus Germann, I used PayPal (which paid the funds in cash to Markus, but charged my AmEx card that it had on record). Very easy. Nevertheless, if you don't use PayPal, then I would have no qualms about wiring funds to Markus. He is as trustworthy as they come, which leads me to my comments about Markus.
My husband and I have already toured through northern Germany, and I wanted my husband to see southern Germany, which I've toured twice, but my husband had never had the opportunity to see. I hired Markus for a private driving tour from Frankfurt, Germany, through southern Germany, ending in Salzburg, Austria. It was difficult to say good-bye to him in Salzburg... I wished I'd hired him throughout the rest of our journey through Austria, Normandy, and Paris.
I cannot say enough good things about Markus. His English is better than most Americans, he's very intelligent, has a great sense of humor, and he's a terrific conversationalist (when you feel like talking). We were totally comfortable with him during our "quiet moments," too, and he's not offended if you don't feel like talking, although admittedly, we had some wonderful, lively conversations about many different subjects that had nothing to do with our tour. We enjoyed his company so much, we invited him to join us for almost every meal (breakfast, lunch & dinner), with a few exceptions when my husband and I felt like dining alone. He easily goes with the flow... whatever the client wants, he'll deliver. When I first told him we wanted him to be our guide in Munich, he admitted he was not as familiar with Munich as other parts of Germany, but would be prepared to give us a guided tour of the city by the time we got there... and he was. Not only is Markus a terrific guide, he's also a safe driver. He has some regular clients whom he has given private driving tours to in countries other than Germany. My husband and I fully intend to hire Markus again the next time we're in western Europe, regardless of the country. His primary objective is to make sure his clients have the best services, the best advice about what to see and where to eat, and to ensure the client's experience is the best it could be. He certainly exceeded our expectations as our driver and guide through southern Germany (and I've had the privilege of hiring LOTS of private tour guides during my travels).
My husband and I are both retired and we travel a lot, both in the USA and globally. I learned years ago to always hire private tour guides wherever we go (saves a lot of time, and you consistently see and learn so much more). Of all the guides I've ever hired (and there have been many), Markus was by far the best guide I've ever had. As I said, I cannot say enough good things about Markus. If you can get Markus to actually be your guide (instead of one of his other guides), you would be extremely fortunate. My guess is that he's in high demand, given all the consistently good reviews he gets. I suspect Markus' standards are high enough that you can't go wrong with one of his other guides, but if Markus is available to be your guide for your private driving tour, grab him... and don't worry about wiring the funds.

I completely remember feeling the same way - we checked on Marcus's references and took what I thought was a huge leap of faith. Our vacation couldn't have been more delightful, I traveled with my 2 girls and brother and sister-in-law. Our trip was beyond anything we could have expected, Marcus took us to so many places and he knows all the best areas to stay and dine. We are definitely going back! I have to say that I wasn't very excited when my daughter chose to go to Germany for her college graduation but there is so much to see and do there and the castles and towns and shopping and zip-lining the Alps (and the beer gardens!) I would have to tell you do not hesitate to tour with Marcus, he is now a good friend of the family, he is honest and caring and will give you the vacation of a lifetime.
